Basket Swing Chair Open Air Hanging
Basket Swing Chair – There is something relaxing about rocking chairs. Swinging in the open air allows you to forget about your daily routine. And enjoy outdoor activities with comfort. When you relax, the last thing you want is to worry about the swing chair collapsing due to faulty installation. So it is important to hang the chair correctly. With a little time and effort, you will be able to relax in the comfort of your half-turned chair and let the world turn without you, if only for a little while.
Choose a wide, sturdy beam from which you want to hang your rocking chair on the porch. Ask an assistant to keep the swing chair 1 1/2 to 2 feet off the porch floor. Measure from one of the suspension points of the chair to the beam. Use the tongs to cut two chains of this length. Drill two pilot holes in the beam. Use a drill bit that is approximately the size of the eye axis of the screw (not including the threads), and sink the hole approximately four inches deep, and as wide as the width of the chair. Twist the eyes of the screws in the holes so deep and narrow that you go – use a screwdriver through the eye to pry while tightening.
Place a quick link to each screw eye, insert one end of each chain into each link and securely close the link. Attach another quick link to each suspension point on the swing chair. Ask your assistant to hold the chair 2 feet off the porch floor, then insert the ends of the chain into the quick links on the chair and close the links securely.
